Feast: Food & Film FAQ for Visitors
Welcome to the official FAQ page for Feast: Food & Film at Food & Film Festival Site. This page is here to help you plan your visit, choose a screening, …
Feast: Food & Film brings together memorable cinema and carefully paired food experiences in the heart of Victoria. Our festival venue is The Vic Theatre, located at 808 Douglas St, Victoria, BC. This central downtown location offers an inviting setting for guests who want to enjoy a film screening alongside a menu created for the evening.
The Vic Theatre is the home of our festival screenings and serves as the meeting point for audiences, chefs, culinary partners, and film lovers. Each event at Feast: Food & Film is designed as more than a movie night. Guests arrive for a complete program that may include a feature film, a themed tasting, drinks, and special food pairings inspired by the story, region, or subject of the film.
At The Vic Theatre, festival guests can enjoy a relaxed and social atmosphere before the screening begins. Depending on the event, your ticket may include food samples, plated offerings, desserts, beverages, or specialty items prepared by local chefs, bakeries, distilleries, and other partners. Menus vary by screening, so we recommend checking the individual event page for full details.
Our program often features films connected to food culture, culinary history, restaurants, chefs, farming, fermentation, spirits, and global cuisine. Titles in past programs have included documentaries and food-focused stories such as Fermented, Michelin Stars: Tales from The Kitchen, The Goddesses of Food, Scotch – A Golden Dream, Chef Flynn, and New Chefs on The Block. Each screening is presented with its own event information, film details, and menu section.
Ticket availability is listed on each screening page. Some events may sell out in advance, and certain listings may display notices such as SOLD OUT, ticket pricing, or a BOOK NOW option. We encourage guests to reserve early, especially for popular evenings with limited culinary service.
Please note that some screenings may include special entry conditions. Certain events may be marked Membership Required, while others may be designated as a 19+ event. These notices will appear on the relevant event page and should be reviewed before purchase.
The Vic Theatre’s downtown address makes it easy to include dinner plans, a walk through the city, or an evening out before or after the show. We recommend arriving early to allow time for check-in, ticket confirmation, and any food service connected to your screening. Because Feast: Food & Film events combine cinema with hospitality, arrival times can be especially important.
If you are attending with friends or as part of a group, please review the event listing in advance so everyone understands the format of the evening. Some screenings focus more heavily on tasting experiences, while others place the spotlight on the film itself with a curated culinary accompaniment.
Feast: Food & Film is an official Victoria film and food event that celebrates the connection between screen culture and culinary creativity. Rather than operating as a general food blog or movie review site, feastfoodfilm.ca serves as a practical festival guide: a place to browse screenings, learn about featured films, explore menus, and choose the right event for your night out.
For the best experience, visit the individual screening pages for current schedule information, menu partners, film descriptions, runtime, country, director details, and ticket status. We look forward to welcoming you to The Vic Theatre for a delicious evening with a side of film.
